1. Introduction

1.1. APSAP Overview

This is the documentation for the Amadeus-PRE team Statistics Analytics Tools. (APSAT). APSAT is the web-based tool that collects data from log files produced by the Amadeus Ticketing Backend Specification and then translates it into visual report of various output formats. That is, if you have an Amadeus product, for instance DAS, if you follow this specification then this tool will help to generate analytic reports that are helpful for analyzing the product.

The reports can be grouped into 3 types, based on the way it is represented and sent:

  • The real-time reports: show the instant information regarding mostly technical aspects, such as error ratio and the number of transactions having passed so far...
  • The periodical reports: this term refers to a set of reports that provide the aggregate data on how the system perform over the period in question, as well as other functional aspects essential for analyzing of the product. Apart from the web interface, these reports are sent periodically via email to a pre-defined reveivers.
  • The OLAP reports: powered by the JasperEngine, it will provide the users with an web-based OLAP (JasperServer)

1.2. Usage

This tool is accessed via a web browser (Firefox, Chrome). It is known to have issues with the Internet Explorer (See the List of known issues.)

1.3. Issues

This tool is known to have issues with Internet Explorer, originating from some reported problems in the employed library amchart.
